 Hello!   Greenwood SportHorses,  located near Kansas City in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, is operated by Bob, Angela and Amy Stuhr.  Our goal is to breed, find, and develop exciting young sport horse prospects for the dressage and jumping market.

         We specialize in finding quality horses for all budgets and expectation levels; everything from sport ponies, special young prospects, to finished riding horses.

        As an active dressage competitor, AHSA "r" judge, and USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist, Amy has developed an eye for the type of horse that is not only a good competition partner, but is also fun to train and own. We select only those horses that we would want to handle and ride on a daily basis.

   The goal of Greenwood SportHorses is to provide the kind of customer service that only a small, family owned operation can provide. We will do all that we can to match a horse with your expectations and aspirations.  We hope to provide not only a good "product"-- our horses-- but also a unique, knowledgeable and friendly environment that is comfortable for everyone.

The horses we personally select for import from Germany and Holland are all of the highest quality and are evaluated on the basis of conformation, gaits, breeding and temperament. Imported horses have all passed rigorous veterinary examination by top rated Vets in The Netherlands and Germany and have been extensively x-rayed.  Horses that are bred here are from our Ster Dutch Warmblood mare or our Elite Hanoverian mare and are by top rated stallions.  Our horses are handled daily, from birth, and have the manners that you would expect from quality youngsters. From the time within days after birth they are taught to wear a halter, lead and have their feet picked up and cleaned.  When old enough they are taught to load in a trailer at their Mother's side and to stand for the farrier.
