- 2006 Bay Filly by VDL Prestige (Silvano x Goodtimes x Ahorn Z x Ronald x
Cor de la Breyere x Anblick xx) out of our Star/Prok imported mare Remolina
(Flemmingh x Zoogedacht).
Ballerina earned her Premium Status at the 2006 NAWPN keuring, and was named top foal of her inspection. Jacques Verkerk, KWPN inspector, noted her beautiful type and topline, correct conformation, and her ability to move through her body well.
Ballerina's
sire, "Prestige" is the dynamic moving, young Dutch stallion, owned by the VDL Stud.
He is a dressage sensation in the making!
Prestige has outstanding gaits, and shows tremendous power and scope in his
movement. He also shows great ability for collection. Hannes Baumgard, one of
Prestige's test riders at his stallion test, in Sweden, commented on what a fabulous
temperament and willing character this stallion possesses.
Prestige is by the International Grand Prix stallion Silvano N who has been a
consistent member of the Dutch Dressage team with rider Ellen Bontje. Silvano N
began his career as a successful show jumper, before embarking on his legendary
dressage career.

Update: Prestige successfully completed his KWPN approval
earning the following points:
Walk : 7.5, Trot : 8, Canter: 8.5 and "Talent as a Dressage Horse" : 8.
According to his test rider "Prestige has a great deal of talent for the
dressage sport and gives his rider a very good feeling".

Blue - 2004 Hanoverian gelding by Rhodes Scholar (by the top Grand Prix
stallion
Rohdiamant, who is by the legendary Rubinstein) out of an imported Elite Mare
Candidate Dabadu Blue (by the top dressage producing Donnerhall son Don Primero
- Don Primero has the highest index for dressage producers in Germany)
This colt is a very good mover, and has super conformation. We showed "Blue" in
two breed shows last season as a foal. He was Reserve Colt Champion (ages
3 and under) at his first show with an unbelievable score of 80.3%!! He was
Colt Champion at his next show, and ended up as the Region's Overall
Reserve Colt Cosequin/USDF Champion with a 78%.

In October of '06 Royal Blue was shown in-hand at Longview Horse Park where he was Champion for 2 year old Colts and Geldings, Reserve Champion in the Colt Championship class and Reserve Champion in the Young Horse Championship class. He also won the IBC Hanoverian class with a score of 75.7% .
Royal Blue's dam, Dabadu Blue (Don Primero x Argentan), won the Mature Horse Championship at the same show and Mother and Son had the two highest scores of the show!
We had the good fortune to see Royal Blue's sire, Rhodes Scholar, and two of his foals at the Klausing family farm in Germany. We were very impressed with this stallions' beautiful type, elasticity, and tremendous capacity for collection under saddle. His riders rave about his fabulous character and strong desire to please. His foals are long legged and rectangular in shape, and showed good, elastic movement. Rhodes Scholar comes from a strong mother line (SPS Gardenia by Grafenburg out of an Akzent II mare) which has produced 12 licensed sons, former German Riding Horse Champions, and such high priced auction horses as Ramina K!
The R & D (Rubinstein x Donnerhall) combination is a proven cross for producing
top quality dressage horses.

"Blue" is bred for the highest in rideability and sport potential. He has
excellent ground manners, and has a very bright future. Blue was started
very lightly under saddle in October '06 and will begin formal training in May of '07.
