ULV Misters and Foggers:
The working principle of a
ULV Fogger is to have a sprayer generating fog droplets by using a high volume
of air at low pressure in which the output is droplets of precise size.
ULV fogger sprayers can generate formulations in a concentrated form since less
diluents are required.
The method of eliminating of mosquitoes in the adult stage is called
Adulticiding. This can be accomplished with the use of ultra low volume (ULV)
foggers. These foggers produce a cloud of microscopic droplets that kill flying
mosquitoes upon contact.
A larger droplet generated out of ULV fogger will sink or settle faster, keeping
your insecticide close to the ground. Smaller droplets tend to float
longer in the air for better coverage in wooded areas or areas where mosquitoes
are active such as rivers, lakes or ponds.
The following are several types of misters and foggers ranging from smaller units for yards, patios, pool areas etc. to larger units designed to be mounted on ATVs or pickup trucks for large fogging requirements.

The
multi-range Tornado offers a 3 gallon formulation tank, large filter with
cleanable screen and precision control metering valve that allows adjustable
outputs from a heavy mist of from 5 gallons per hour, down to low outputs in
the ULV range. Ideal for general pest control. Included with each
machine is a unique Curtis Viscometer, which is used to measure the viscosity
of your chemicals. The viscosity measurement is then matched to a chart
provided in the manual to give precise control valve settings for particle
size and formulation output. This assures less waste of chemicals and proper
compliance with chemical label requirements. 110 volt powered.
