Elite Mare - Dabadu Blue

May, 2000 Hanoverian Chestnut mare by Don Primero (by the great International Dressage Legend Donnerhall x Pik Bube) out of Aragonia (Argentan x Derwisch). This filly was purchased at the Verden Elite Foal Auction in 2000. She is by the 1990 Bundeschampion (German Riding Horse Champion) and successful Grand Prix dressage competitor, Don Primero. Don Primero's consistency in producing top class dressage horses has helped him earn the highest dressage index in Germany. Don Primero has produced such dressage stars as Cherie (FEI 6 year old Riding Horse Champion in 2001 and undefeated at Prix St. Georges in Germany in 2002!), and the licensed stallion Don Larino. Dabadu Blue's mother is by the 1994 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, Argentan who is known for producing both top class dressage and jumping horses. This filly has a very interesting pedigree indeed!

Dabadu Blue is an absolute delight, possessing elastic, beautiful movement and wonderful manners.

May 10 2004 - Dabadu Blue gave birth to a beautiful, healthy, long legged, dark chestnut colt by Rhodes Scholar on Monday night May, 10.  Both mother and foal are healthy and strong.

Update: July 19,'04 "Royal Blue" was shown at The Kansas City Dressage Society's Breed Show held on Sunday, July 18.  Blue placed 2nd in Colts & Geldings of 2004 with a score of 80.8% which was the second highest score of the entire show! . He was named Reserve Champion Cosequin Young Horse,  and placed second in the IBC Hanoverian Class with a score of 79.5%.  He also won, along with  yearling filly" Rhadiance" owned by Dr. Debbie Davenport,  the Get of Sire ( Rhodes Scholar) class.   What a great start for this two month old colt!!

In October of '06 Royal Blue was shown in-hand at Longview Horse Park where he was Champion for 2 year old Colts and Geldings, Reserve Champion in the Colt Championship class and Reserve Champion  in the Young Horse Championship class.  He also won the IBC Hanoverian class with a score of 75.7% .

Royal Blue's dam, Dabadu Blue (Don Primero x Argentan), won the Mature Horse Championship at the same show and Mother and Son had the two highest scores of the show!

For 2007 we have decided to breed our Dabadu Blue (Don Primero x Argentan/Derwish) to High Point Hanoverian’s young dressage star "Sinatra Song" (Sandro Hit x Pik Bube/Akut).

“Dabbie” will be shown 1st and 2nd levels this spring, and then we will keep her home to be bred. Dabbie continues to impress us with her very willing attitude and quick ability to learn new movements. With her three solid, good gaits and excellent temperament, she has been a joy to train and ride!

We feel Sinatra Song is a wonderful complement to this special mare. As a 2.5 year old Sinatra Song was named Premium and Champion Stallion at the Hanoverian licensing for private owned stallions.
At this 70 day test, he earned 121 points in dressage with the following individual score highlights:
Character – 9
Temperament – 9
Trot – 9
Gallop – 9
Walk – 9
Gallop Cross Country – 9
Jumping – rideability – 8.25

Sinatra Song was one of only 2 Hanoverians stallions selected to represent the Hanoverian Verband at the Bundeschampionate (German Federal Riding Horse Championships). He ended up as the highest placing Hanoverian at this prestigious event.
Sinatra Song’s sire "Sandro Hit" hardly needs any introduction. He truly is one of the breeding sensations of our generation. He consistently produces extravagant moving offspring who bring top prices at riding horse auctions throughout Europe.
Sinatra Song’s dam," SPS Pauline" (Pik Bube x Akut) also produced the 2000 Verden Elite Auction horse Desert Rose, selling for a remarkable 200,000 euro!!!

This foal will be eligible and registered with the American Hanoverian Society.

 Remolina Ster, Prok

Imported, Dutch Warmblood, 16.0 1/2 hand, mare by the great dressage producer Flemmingh (Lacapo x Carneval). We have had the good fortune to have many Flemmingh offspring in our barn, and have been greatly impressed by the consistent quality and rideability of his offspring. Flemmingh was awarded the keur rating by the KWPN due to the quality of his offspring, and is the sire of the international dressage sensation Krack C ridden by Anky Van Grunsven.

Remolina is out of a star rated mare by Zoogedacht (by Nooitgedacht) out of a Persian Path xx x Sabatini xx mother). Remolina earned her star (First Premium -- only about 30% of all mares presented earn this prestigious rating) rating in Holland as a 3 year old. Remolina comes from a mother line that is full of star, keur, and keur preferent rated mares. Very impressive!

Remolina is an extravagant moving mare, and is a beautiful, modern type. Judge Hilda Gurney at a USDF Breeders Seminar held in Kansas City stated she would give Remolina a 9+ for her trot, and that it was the best you would see anywhere in the country! She went on to say she would love to have this mare in her own broodmare band!

Remolina was lighlty shown in hand and under saddle in 2002. She won the 4 year old maiden/yeld mare class, the mare championship, and the Dutch breed class at the May KCDS/USDF/Cosequin Breed Show earning the second highest score given in the entire show (75+% from judge Gail Hoff-Carmona).

Remolina earned good scores and many blue ribbons at training level in 2002, and earned the highest score (70%!) given by "S" judge Sarah Michael at the KCDS October Show.

Update: Remolina recently earned her Prok predicate. This means she has passed the same x-ray protocol as the Dutch stallions are required to undergo during their approval process. Her x-rays are very clean, and show no signs of ocd.

Shown below is Remolina's 2004 floal, "Zilvano"  by Prestige.  He is a big, beautiful, long legged chestnut colt.

August '07 - Below is a photo of Zilvano, now 3 years old. He has grown into a big beautiful boy !

May 27, 2006 - Remolina has given birth to a beautiful bay filly. "Ballerina" has two white hind socks and is a gorgeous, long legged, strong, healthy foal.

September 20 '06. Ballerina attended the NA KWPN Keuring, held at High Point Farm, Paola, KS,  and was awarded her "First Premium" by the visiting KWPN Judges.  She was also Champion foal of the inspection!

MAY '07 - We have decided to breed our Ster, Prok mare "Remolina" (Flemmingh x Zoogedacht) to the Dutch dressage star "Rousseau" (Ferro x Roemer). Rousseau was the top seller of the 2001 KSS Auction, and ended up finishing in the Championship Ring of the KWPN Stallion Show.

Rousseau earned an 8 for his ability for dressage in his stallion performance testing in Ermelo. In 2002, he won the Dutch National Dressage Championships (Pavo Cup) in the 4 year old division.
We had the good fortune of seeing Rousseau win the silver medal in the 5 year division of the FEI Young Horse Championships in Verden. We were struck by his superb gaits and apparent rideability.
His offspring fetched top prices at the foal auctions in Holland, and his daughters have placed very well at the National Mare Shows.
The Champion Colt at the KWPN Stallion Show in 2/2006 and 2/2007 were both by Rousseau!!

We are very excited about this cross! Remolina has produced two outstanding foals for us to date, and we expect this one to be very special as well!

This foal will be registered and eligible for NA/WPN (North American Dutch Warmblood Association) papers.

Please inquire about in-utero purchase options.
